Currency
In Thailand, the currency used is the Thai Baht (THB). ATMs are widely available and accept most international debit and credit cards, but keep in mind that transaction fees may apply. In larger cities and tourist areas, card payments are commonly accepted, but in markets and small shops, it’s best to have cash on hand.

Visa
For a trip to Thailand, tourists do not always need a visa. The rules vary by nationality, but many travelers can enter visa-free for a stay of up to 30 days.
You can extend your visa once for an additional 30 days for free. This must be done at a government immigration office.
In addition to a visa, you must be able to show proof of onward travel to leave the country.
