Currency

In Malaysia, the currency used is the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), abbreviated as RM, which is the official currency of the country. It is accepted everywhere in Malaysia.

In larger cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Malacca, debit and credit cards are widely accepted. However, in smaller villages and street markets, cash is often the only payment option.

Visum

For a trip to Malaysia, tourists do not always need a visa. The rules vary by nationality, but many travelers can enter the country visa-free for a stay of up to 30 or 90 days.
